well, just got home from work after going to school all day, so a pretty uneventful day.
the pittsburgh penguins won their playoff series in round 1, so here's to hoping that malkin will continue his good play and not fold like he did last year. since i really have nothing to write about, i figured id share a poem i wrote in english today about how a simply pen can be viewed as evil.

Please take out your pens,
We have a paper to write.
Why was this object invented?
It fills my dreams with fright.

Write another essay.
All work, no play.
This slender object always finds a way
To ruin my day.

Once, twice, most like more.
This object is paid for
More times than a whore.

It’s awful, it’s evil,
Why do we use it?
I guess it’s a drug
And teachers love to abuse it.

They can’t get enough,
It’s always in a pocket.
If I had a gun,
I’d instantly cock it.

In less than a second,
Ink would cover the walls.
A few teachers
Might even slip and fall.

Most students will thank me
For letting them free.
I’ll kill all the pens,
Hang ‘em high in a tree.

But what good will it do?
They will only make more.
Well that will be my cue
To blow up the pen store.

So, ink, be gone, all assignments be dead.
Oh wait, oh shit, now we have to get rid of all the lead.

let me know what you think. all feedback welcome!

Welfare from Third Eye Blind

Well, this is my first day blogging, so we will see how it goes, I suppose.
I figured I would start by sharing something that i have been pondering for a while now.
Being a senior in high school at the moment, i was considering applying for a job with the Cincinnati Reds just walking around the Great American Ballpark selling hotdogs. They wanted me to take a piss test for marijuana, which was fine with me, because i don't smoke. However, this got me to thinking: If i have to take a piss test to be able to earn money, why shouldn't the people on welfare have to take a piss test to receive a portion of the money that i make. I mean, if i can't smoke to simply make the money, why should they be allowed to smoke and get my money for free?

Anyway, I will leave you with a quote from a song since i listen to a lot of music:
"That girl is like a sunburn, I would like to save."
